Pulling off this newsletter required a juggling act of skills:

  • Technical Savvy: Navigating the ins and outs of ConvertKit and Squarespace to set up a seamless sign-up process.
  • Content Creation: Crafting engaging content that resonated with our audience, from the salary survey to the indispensable layoff guide.

One evening, amidst the chaos of launching the newsletter, I received a message from a group member. She shared how the salary survey had sparked a conversation with her employer, leading to a well-deserved raise. It was moments like these that underscored the real impact of our efforts—beyond numbers, beyond strategy.

This project was a testament to the power of community and the importance of not putting all your eggs in one basket (or in this case, one social media platform). It underscored my belief in the necessity of diversification, not just in finance but in how we build and nurture our communities. Each step, from conceptualizing the newsletter to celebrating our first sponsor, was a learning curve steeped in real-life insights, laughter, and a fair share of “what have I gotten myself into” moments.
